Capri-Sun Rio 2 Screening

As part of the ‘Have Fun With Capri-Sun’ promotion, Saturday April 19th, 2014, saw  Palace Cineplex come alive with the Capri-Sun Rio 2 screening. Over 260 patrons were treated to an afternoon of jammed-packed activities both inside and outside the cinema.

In keeping with the jungle theme of the movie, enticed patrons entered Cineplex through a Rio de Janeiro jungle inspired tunnel to kick start the festivities. The 10 feet high tunnel, created by Capri-Sun’s marketing consultants Monumental Partners, was the look and feel of a rainforest with lush foliage, plenty of trees and a misty feel provided by the smoke effects; rocks, branches and even a waterfall. As persons motioned into the jungle, the accented sound effects of wildlife and thunder and rainfall, greeted them and brought the experience to life.

Host Kiki then kicked off the event with an exciting treasure hunt with the kids while adults sat back and enjoyed their Capri-Suns and food provided by AJ Catering. Meanwhile others had their customized Capri-Sun photos taken with the Capri-Sun mascot and some, busy playing the Rio2 game on the interactive screen provided by Monumental Partners.

Once inside the cinema the Capri-Sun activities were started with an 'Under the Seat' and win game. Stuffed animals from the Rio 2 movie, were hidden under selective seats and roused the audience as a lucky few were invited on stage to play a Capri-Sun trivia to win more prizes.

The event also saw the entire Mustard Seed Children’s Home (Spanish Town) treated to the Rio 2 movie. And after formal welcomes from the Capri-Sun brand manager, Claudine Coley, the movie commenced. The kids were not to be disappointed as Rio2 delivered laughs and smiling faces with its fantastic story line. Even the brand manager herself lauded the movie and made mention during intermission of the “perfect imitation of the Rio rainforest to the Capri-Sun’s tunnel forest”, said Claudine Coley.

Intermission followed suit with similar fun filled activities. The Capri-Sun blind test tasting activity was a crowd's favorite as contestants vied for a myriad of Capri-Sun prizes.

Patrons were gifted upon exit with Capri-Sun/Rio2 loot bags filled with memorabilia from the event and their printed personalized Capri-Sun photos.

The event provided a great opportunity for kids to get out of the house this past Easter weekend and have a family fun afternoon and proved successful as all looked to have had a blast.
